DEE HUTTON is a designer collection for women that honors the old world craftsmanship and intimate customer experience of sumptuous atelier salons. Offering clothing for the current season in a variety of colors and fabrics, DEE HUTTON provides a contemporary model of luxury made-to-order for a new generation of style-setters.
Separates, cocktail dresses, and evening gowns are constructed using the finest fabrics, embroideries, and skins sourced from around the world. The collection reflects the customer: polished, bold, and sexy, with a deep reverence for old-school sensibilities.
DEE HUTTON launched their first bridal collection in 2015. Customers can now also choose from a variety of styles or work one-on-one with designer Nedenia Hutton Craig to create a custom, couture wedding gown, along with various looks for their wedding weekend.
Available by showroom appointment and at trunk shows nationwide, DEE HUTTON is produced entirely in New York City.
As a young girl, Nedenia played dress up from a treasure trove of couture evening clothes and other finery handed down from a long line of celebrated fashion icons. Her great grandmother was Marjorie Merriweather Post, often described as the epitome of grace and style. Her grandmother, Dina Merrill was a famed actress and a deeply committed philanthropist with a place in the international best-dressed Hall of Fame.
Nedenia took every opportunity to tag along with the family matriarchs to their favorite designers’ studios, where the ladies all knew one another, and the designers knew the ladies and their preferences. The atmosphere was convivial, solicitous, and fun – in short, like a party. That’s why DEE HUTTON’s mission is to make shopping fun again by cultivating a personal connection between the luxury customer and the designer.
Upon graduating from Brown University, Nedenia focused on honing her fashion skills and industry experience. She attended the graduate program in fashion design at Parsons and sharpened her technical acumen with apprenticeships in the design studios of Vera Wang, Alice & Olivia, and her industry mentor, Peggy Jennings. This lifetime of fashion tutelage at the hems of revered style icons culminated in the launch of DEE HUTTON.
Now, to find the perfect co-founder…best friends since their days as roommates at Brown University, Nedenia and her co-founder Stephanie Brag shared majors, fashion obsessions, and a driven, can-do attitude. Nedenia always dreamt of launching her own collection and knew that Stephanie was her perfect business partner. Nedenia worked tirelessly to convince Stephanie to leave her job in the Communications Department at (RED), where she had risen through the ranks for four years. Stephanie’s the right brain of the operation, Nedenia’s the left. The perfect odd couple without the bickering. And what’s better than working with your best friend every day?
